About the cattery Arendal seen from the seaside (N)BatStar is a small cattery situated in Arendal, south of Norway. It is a beautiful place, an old and pitoresque shipping town by the sea. Our house is located about 15 minutes drive from the city-centre. A place called Eydehavn, small and quiet, perfect for breeding cats!  My husband and I have always been fascinated by cats, in all different shapes and sizes. When we bought our first siamese cats eight years ago, we were completely amazed by the beauty and mind of these wonderful cats. We got our first cattery-name (N)Puseriet registered in 2005, when we moved from Oslo back to Arendal. We bought a big house with room enough for breeding cats. Our house Our garden In September 2007 we changed our prefix to (N)BatStar, which is our cattery name today. We are breeding mostly Oriental Shorthair, but there will also be an occasional siamese kitten or two born in our cattery. Our aim is to breed healthy, happy, beautiful cats, with a specifically social nature. We try to breed kittens which are as close to the high standard as possible, and I have some good breeder-friends to cooperate with. We do our best to find lines and pedigrees that will fit together to gain these goals of ours. Travelling abroad to get lines we find exciting, and will fit into our breeding-program is necessary. I find it very important to have a goal in breeding, and working with other breeders.
